We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our Head Office team here in Doha, Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the one of the world’s leading and fastest growing Airlines.
This will be a key position specifically focusing on Procurement strategy within Ground Services and Cargo, covering both Doha and Outstations services.
About Your Job ::
To manage all Procurement requirements in the Ground Services and Cargo categories, setting category strategy, interfacing with colleagues of all levels and managing the supply to ensure best value for the company in line with its strategic, financial and operational requirements.
Financial: Ensure best value at all times for goods and services procured on behalf of the organisation.
Operational: Interface with internal user departments and suppliers on procurement projects, Ensure user clearly defines requirements and obtains relevant approvals, Challenge user on volumes and specifications. Products and supplier sourcing. RFQ management and administration for high value and high priority requirements, Negotiate with suppliers on costs, commercial and contractual terms, Provision of strategic analysis to assist in category strategy definition and KPI monitoring. Responsible for definition of supply strategy for relevant product categories, deliver high quality, accurate work to internal customers, managers and suppliers.
Management: manage multiple procurement projects in tandem, prioritized according to company’s strategic, financial and operational requirements, Actively manage team and team workload, setting priorities, coaching and assisting in problem resolution. Work to develop metrics against which team and individuals can be measured.
Leadership: Set an example to team in terms of behaviors, work ethic, standards, skills and delivery. Seek out, propose and implement business process improvements. Show initiative in anticipating future issues, planning for them and executing plans on a timely basis.
You will have the ability to manage multiple procurement projects in accordance to company’s strategic, financial and operational requirements. You will actively manage a team, set priorities, coach and assist in problem resolution. You will be accountable for decisions taken and project delivery. You will have the ability to work independently, demonstrating forward planning, initiative and business process improvement while also taking responsibility for self and team development.
The main area for this role will be to oversee the procurement functions for Cargo in an aviation capacity, having knowledge in this area is essential.
You will hold degree level education with minimum of 8 years experience in a procurement role with airline, Middle East or strong product category experience with airline experience.
You will display strong communications skills, numeracy and ability to present data clearly and accurately.
